More Murk...

Cloudy and a bit chilly, again. Got my working out done early, now trying to motivate myself to do something, anything, worthwhile.

The Guardian gave that  new BBC2 series POSE five stars...Personally, I found it too glossy and bland. What with people getting AIDs, sweet teenagers booted by their families and forced to sleep on benches amongst the well-groomed junkies of Central Park, and all,  it looked a bit too cheerful and Technicolour.
It reminded me a bit of FAME. Still, it could toughen up. We'll see...
I decided to spend the day 'in', after the park, to get on with the clear-up, at last. (Guess what?)

Super Worm Moon...

No, I couldn't see it, and it's overcast tonight. There were some good photos of luckier locations in the papers, though.
Another wasted day, making no progress with clearing out or anything.
Watched MANDY, which had good doolally Nicolas Cage moments, but wasn't as outre as I was expecting.
Didn't hear anything back from the film people, so I guess they didn't fancy the place, or another tenant beat me to it.
Reading more Arthur Machen stories. I'd like to see what a good horror/fantasy director would do with something like 'The White People' and why has 'The Great God Pan' never been filmed?

Drab Kinda Day...

Spring Equinox with full moon; interesting vibes. Hope it clears enough to bloody see it, for a change.
I was rather keen on Sky Atlantic's  THE MIRACLE, series, but by the end ,as with TRAPPED, I was very baffled by all the zillion plot threads. I'm afraid it is 'old age'... BTW, I've had jowls and turkey neck for ages, but my whole jaw and everything seems to have collapsed suddenly
into a wobbly mass of  fleshglobs and crepeyness . Horrible. 
I'd thought it was going to be mild, today. I suppose it is, but it feels dank and chilly.
It's been a busy week for dreadful events. This cyclone, Idai is truly horrendous. Gods, give the world a break, eh?
Coffee Lovers is going to be closed tomorrow, as they're attending the funeral of the poor lady who died.  She used to sit in 'my' favourite chair most of the time, and I'd offer it to her if she came in while I was there. Now I'm kind of 'afraid' to sit there, in case her ghost is in it!
