I've been offered a job at a local care home. This one is a privately run mental health establishment. The new owner took over back in March. When he interviewed me, the guy told me that he was looking for a senior carer: someone basically to supervise the other carers and keep them on their toes. I wasn't sure about it, as I'm far from convinced that I'll be good at telling others what to do. However, I must have come across as competent, as he offered me the job anyway. I already feel quite anxious about it, but quite excited too. Couldn't hurt to give it a go, I think.
