At the hospital we're getting ready for the big move to the new hospital next Friday. Some departments have already gone. Our ward will be one of the last to make the jump. How strange it's going to be. We've been waiting for this day for so many years. Sad too, because the old hospital, with it's fine red brick buildings, will immediately be demolished. Over a hundred years of history reduced to rubble. There could have been a better way, I think.
Uncle Bob goes West, pages three and four.
Influences on this strip, by the way, include John Wayne, Howard Hawks (and in particular his film Rio Bravo), Desperate Dan, and every Western I've ever seen or read.
