The Facts In The Case Of Dr. Andrew Wakefield

A fifteen page story about the MMR vaccination controversy. As ever, I'm sure a few spelling errors have slipped past me. Feel free to point any out so I can correct them.

2013 update. Since I wrote this blog entry, this cartoon strip as well as many others on such subjects as homeopathy, chiropratic, evolution, and the supposed NASA Moon hoax landings, have been published in a book: Science Tales in the UK (Myriad Edtions) and How To Fake A Moon Landing in the US and Canada (Abrams). I'm a Brit and that just the way we spell "immunization". Of course, you wouldn't have known where I live. Thanks for the kind words and the sending of the links. I too am tired of this subject. It was my anger which drove me to write and draw up the strip. Thanks!

You know, before I posted I thought: I wonder if he's British? But figured I'd post anyway, since you asked about misspellings.

I wrote an article about this topic for Minnesota Public Radio was was deluged with hateful comments and even more hateful personal email.

These folks are completely rabid.

That said, hopefully information like yours will help more moderate people with a healthy skepticism of drug companies who are feeling confused to understand the facts.

So far I've not had any hate mail. I'm bracing myself though, as it's bound to come. Not looking forward to it. In my research I looked at several anti-vax sites. I realised quite quickly that there's a hard core out there who are never going to see sense, and who's first impulse will be aggression. What can you do?

Keep telling the truth calmly and clearly, again and again and again, and never let them shut you up.
